Now there’s a cheery thought… If you’ve been watching the news on TV this morning, you will have seen that the UK Government is raising the retirement age to 66 and looking into raising it to over 70 in the near future, to reflect the rising life expectancy of the UK population.The official life expectancy figures show that males currently live to the age of 77 and females 81.

So, by their own figures you will be expected to work until you drop… Or, you can start looking out for your own future!

If you have any doubts about how you are going fund your lifestyle as you get older, you need to act on it now, even if it’s only a few hours a week. Learn how to be financially self-sufficient so that you don’t have to rely on the paltry state pension that “may” still be available before you reach old age.

There are many things you can do, and naturally, I favor the Internet as a means of making some extra money reasonably easily once you know what you’re doing.

The main benefit of going this route is that you can start a home business with very little in the way of overheads, and obviously by working at home you have no travel costs, and can fit your business efforts into your spare time, any time of day.

You also have many options when it comes to “learning the ropes”… There is loads of free information (albeit fairly basic) available on the Internet (and on this blog!) to enable you to get more of an idea “how the Internet Marketing business works”, so have a look around, then you can decide if it’s for you.

Then, as a “beginner” it will probably be worthwhile to get hold of an Internet Marketing tutorial package to get you started… But remember, any business requires WORK, YOUR TIME, and EFFORT! That goes for Internet Marketing too, and I have yet to see ANY “make-money system” that does it all for you!

So… It’s up to you. You can continue slogging your life away, hoping you are still alive when you are finally eligible to collect your state pension… Or put in some effort and secure your own financial future. What’s it gonna be?
